Zephyrhills Art Club Partners with Avalon Park Wesley Chapel to Bring Arts Programming to the Community
Wesley Chapel, FL (March 28, 2025) – The Zephyrhills Art Club and Avalon Park Wesley Chapel are excited to announce a new partnership aimed at expanding arts education and cultural enrichment in the community. Through a series of engaging programs and events, this collaboration will bring professional artists, creative workshops, and public art experiences to residents of all ages.
Art Snacks is a weekly, 11-session art skills workshop led by local artist Sally Yoder. The program begins on June 3 and will be held every Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Avalon Park Wesley Chapel. Participants will explore a wide range of techniques—from charcoal values to unconventional oil painting—in a fun, supportive setting. The class is open to ages 12 and up (minors must be accompanied by an adult), with all supplies included. Cost is $25 per session or $250 for all 11 weeks.

Beginners are always welcome! I look forward to helping residents explore new techniques and discover what they are capable of.”
Yoder will also be leading a live plein air painting demonstration during Absolutely Avalon, the spring festival happening Saturday, April 19th from 5–9 PM in Avalon Park Wesley Chapel. Artists of all levels are invited to join the Plein Air Paint-Out by bringing their own supplies and enjoying an evening of outdoor creativity. Participants can register online here and each registered participant will receive a $15 gift certificate for use at food trucks or local restaurants, and their artwork may be showcased in area businesses and featured in the Avalon Park Sun, on social media, and in publications like Neighborhood News and Our Town FLA. A special mini canvas activity will also be available for kids at the Avalon Park booth—no registration required. Festivalgoers can watch the artists in action while enjoying live entertainment, a laser light show, delicious food, and fun for the whole family.
Paint Class with Kelly Colton – Rounding out the art offerings this spring, artist Kelly Colton will teach a relaxed and welcoming paint class on Friday, April 25th from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Held at Avalon Park Wesley Chapel (33613 SR 54, Wesley Chapel, FL 33543), this class is open to anyone with a desire to paint—no experience required. Cost is $35 per person or $60 for a parent and child pair (child must be 10+ and accompanied by an adult). All supplies are included.
