Three Ways to Vote
- In Person on Election Day: Vote at your assigned polling place (hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.)

What You Need to Bring
A valid, non-expired photo identification that also shows your signature (Florida driver license, United States passport, military ID, or other government-issued photo ID).

A Significant Year for Pasco County
Pasco County voters face a significant year in 2026. The primary election on August 18 will determine races for state legislature, county commission, and school board seats. A special election for State Senate District 21 will also occur, affecting approximately 143,000 Pasco County voters in 43 precincts. Many seats have open fields with no incumbents running.
Important: Closed Primary System
Florida operates as a closed primary state. You may only vote for candidates in your own registered political party during the August 18 primary election. Verify your party affiliation at pascovotes.gov or call 800-851-8754.

Three Statewide Questions
Each amendment needs at least 60 percent approval statewide to pass.
Amendment 1: State Budget Stabilization Fund
Raises the rainy-day fund cap from 10 percent to 25 percent of general revenue.
Amendment 2: Farm Equipment Tax Exemption
Exempts farm equipment on agricultural land from property taxation, beginning 2027.
Amendment 3: Homestead Property Tax Exemption
Exempts the first $250,000 of a homestead’s value from non-school property taxes (phased in 2027-2028). Supporters: homeowner relief. Critics: questions about revenue replacement for essential services.
