WESLEY CHAPEL, FL, December 19, 2018 —Downtown Avalon Park will host the inaugural Jack Frost 5K in Avalon Park Wesley Chapel, Saturday, January 12, 2019, 7 a.m.
This community event is open to the public and will begin with onsite registration at 7 a.m. The 5k race will begin at 8 a.m. and be immediately followed by a shorter kids run at 9:30 a.m. sponsored by New River Elementary School. The cost is $25 for pre-registration, but will go up to $30 on the day of the event. T-shirts and finisher medals will be given to the first 250 registrants and the top 3 athletes (Male and Female) from 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+ will also receive an award.
Stephanie Lerret, SVP of Marketing and Community Relations stated that it is the goal of Avalon Park Wesley Chapel to bring families together in the community create a healthy environment to Live, Learn, Work and Play. Community partners have came together to bring a great event. The East Pasco YMCA will be offering a warm up before the run. Lerret said, “This event is a healthy way for families to come together to kick off the new year right!”
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and friends to enjoy an evening of holiday fun.
