SR 54 Widening from east of Curley Road to east of Morris Bridge Road
Traffic Advisory: Opening a portion of new SR 54 for westbound traffic on October 4, 2020 has resulted in some temporary detours for motorists, as additional work continues to make connections between the existing eastbound and new westbound travel lanes.
- Left turns are currently not allowed on SR 54 or from SR 54 between Wesley Chapel Loop and Fox Ridge Drive.
- All motorists turning onto SR 54 from all side streets or driveways between Curley Road and River Glen Dr. must turn right.
- All motorists turning from SR 54 onto side streets or driveways in this area must also turn right only.
Several U-Turn locations are available to help drivers reach their destinations. The westbound U-Turn onto eastbound SR 54 is at Curley Road. Two eastbound U-Turns onto westbound SR 54 are at the Ronnoch Blvd./Foxwood Blvd. and Riverside Crossing Blvd. intersections. Full traffic movements are anticipated to be restored at SR 54 intersections in this area in November, weather permitting.

A sidewalk will be built on the north side of the road and a 10-foot wide multi-use trail will be built on the south side.
This $42.5 million project is expected to finish in late 2021.
